Compensation Claims Case Study: Supermarket Slip

In this compensation claims case study we have a look at a Claimant, whose name has been altered for privacy reasons, suffered an accident at a supermarket.

Mrs. P was shopping at her local supermarket when she slipped due to a wet floor and suffered soft tissue damage to her back, right knee and left hand because of the fall. She contacted Ward and Rider to commence a no win no fee compensation claim against the supermarket who quickly admitted liability. To support the injuries that were suffered, medical records were obtained and the Claimant provided details of any expenses occurred due to the accident. This included costs for medical and travelling expenses and assistance provided by her family.

Maria Dobson handled the claim and successfully obtained compensation to the sum of £3,060 but this was after some disagreement about the value of the claim.
